Suellen passed away on November 1, 2022 after a ten month battle with cancer. Her obituary can be found here.
Until 2011, I was a full-time tenure track professor at the University of Rhode Island Graduate School of Library and Information Studies. I have now returned to live with my family in Wisconsin and have embarked upon a journey as an adjunct professor and independent researcher.
I have a passion for teaching graduate students and have taught in many topic areas, such as Research Methods and Evaluation, Community Relations, Information Technology, Information Design, and Collection Management. I have also taught undergraduates, as well as speaking at workshops and conferences.
My research specialty is information behavior and meaning-making particularly in the context of popular culture and recreational pursuits.
